We extended the deadline for this event due to NZ Secondary Schools taking up most everyone’s attention, thank you to those who have now entered the meet, we look forward to hosting your swimmers at the weekend.

Attached are the psych sheets for our Manawatu Winter Champs at the weekend. Please note the program will be being printed on Thursday evening so I will need any changes and relay entries (with names) before then please.

Swimming Manawatu has key officials rostered, but if you have any IOT, JOS etc travelling with you, we would be happy for them to join us. If clubs have folks who wish to be included for training for Inspector of Turns, Judge of Stroke etc please let us know and we will be very happy to begin/continue training with anyone interested.

We will need timekeepers, Manawatu clubs require 1 for every 4 swimmers for every session, this is roughly:

  • Ice Breakers          6
  • Kiwi West              3
  • Dannevirke            3
  • Palmerston North    4
  • Dolphin                  2
  • Feilding                  1
  • Levin                      1

Friday evening, however, there are 20+ swimmers competing in 800m and 1500m events. EVERY family with a swimmer entered must have a timekeeper available please. It is unfair to expect others to take times for long distance events if parents are not prepared to do so.

Please advise names of timekeepers with any changes, relay names, etc by Wednesday 7:00pm, including those for Friday evening.

A reminder that parking around the Freyberg Pool is very limited and only those with disability parking credentials may park in this area.  There is ample parking available in the adjacent car park.

Thank you for your patience.
