About Us

Swimming Manawatu Inc.

Who are we?

Swimming Manawatu is a fully affiliated member body of Swimming New Zealand operating out of Palmerston North, New Zealand. We are charged with controlling and co-ordinating all swimming in the Manawatu, Whanganui, Horowhenua and Southern Hawkes Bay regions.

Swimming Manawatu officials and management committee are elected on an annual basis at the AGM. For the most part these people are volunteers, committed to the sport, who give freely of their time.

Manawatu swimmers attend carnivals or swim meets all over New Zealand but primarily in the Central North Island from Napier to Wellington. Particular emphasis is based on meets from Raumati to Wanganui with the majority being conducted in Palmerston North, Feilding and Levin.
